AI & Human Judgment

AI is not our oracle.

Artificial intelligence can retrieve and organize knowledge, map arguments, compare hypotheses, identify missing evidence, detect contradictions, test scenarios, translate material and assist synthesis.

What AI does not do

It does not possess constitutional authority within the Society and does not replace accountable human judgment.

Standing requirements

  • Every material AI role should be reviewable.
  • Sources must remain distinguishable from generated interpretation.
  • Uncertainty and model limitations should be visible.
  • Credible dissent must not disappear because a model produces an elegant summary.

Persistent disclosure

AI output may be wrong. Material conclusions require evidence and human review.
